NMCAA’s 2nd annual Comedy for Community night will take place at The Venue/The Truck Stop in Cadillac Michigan. All tickets and proceeds go towards helping and preventing future homelessness throughout the Northwest Michigan region.
Northwest Michigan Community Action Agency’s Homeless Prevention department’s second annual Comedy for Community event is a great way for community members to show support for people who are experiencing homelessness in our region. Across our 10-county service area, we provide services to youth, literally homeless households, veterans and their families, as well as households struggling with a housing crisis or homelessness; and the need for funding to help these individuals is critical. This event is a fun way to raise awareness, and an opportunity for community members to help support our homeless programs and services at NMCAA.” Said Sarah Hughes, Director of Homeless Prevention Programs at NMCAA.
With plans of many people attending the lighthearted and comedic event for a great cause. Our Homeless Prevention Program plans on using the donations earned to achieve their goals and get that much closer to being able to provide a home for all those in need.
As NMCAA’s Homeless Prevention Programs biggest event of the year, hopes are high that good things are to come, not only from the laughs and joy coming from the people attending the event themselves, but also from the so many lives that it’ll touch and impact in the future.
