Moomers for Meals 10 years on March 9th, 2024
Meals on Wheels annual fundraiser “Moomers for Meals” will celebrate it’s 10th anniversary on Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 11:00am to 9:00pm at Moomers Homemade Ice cream located at 7263 N. Long Lake Road in Traverse City. Once again, all proceeds from the Hot Fudge Sundae Bar and 10% of day of sales will benefit Meals on Wheels of Northwest Michigan Community Action Agency (NMCAA).
- Hot Fudge Sundae Bar is $10 per Sundae
- Businesses/Organizations: Purchase Gift Certificates for the Moomers for Meals event on March 9th to treat your employees, volunteers, customers, etc. Contact Lisa Robitshek at her email or by phone by March 2nd.
- NMCAA’s HeadStart and GSRP classes were invited to participate in a Flavor Contest which will take place on NMCAA’s Facebook Page. Voting will begin on Tuesday, February 27th and run through March 3rd. The winning flavor will be announced on via the Facebook page on March 4th, 2024. Moomers Handmade Ice Cream will create the winning flavor to be served the day of the event.
“As one of our signature events for 10 years, we are so grateful to Moomers Homemade Ice Cream and all of our SPONSORS who support this fun and impactful event,” said Meals on Wheels manager Lisa Robitshek. “Over the past 10 years we have raised in excess of $110,000 and in 2023 we served 163,825 meals to over 1,000 clients. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of homebound seniors!”
