Above all, our Homeownership and Financial Center team commits themselves to helping you achieve your goals, offering a wide array of programs, from budget workshops to home-buying assistance. Homebuyer Education

Learn More about Homebuyer Education

When you’re ready to make the biggest purchase of your life, our Homebuyer Education program guides you through the process. Specifically, our coaches teach you how to select the right realtor, bank, budget, and home. Moreover, you’ll learn everything necessary to prepare for purchasing your first home. Upon completion, you’ll receive a certificate to share with your lender. Additionally, scholarships are available.

NMCAA welcomes you to HUD approved homebuyer education courses that supports you through every stage of the purchasing process. Whether you’re in the beginning stages of considering homeownership and need help navigating the right loans, improving your credit score, getting pre-approved with a bank, or finding your dream home, Homebuyer Coaching is right for you!

Pre and Post Purchase Coaching

Our coaches meet with you to ensure you’re fully prepared for the closing process of your first home. Afterward, we continue to work with you to address any unexpected expenses that might arise. Ultimately, our goal is to make sure you’re ready for homeownership both before and after your purchase.

If you’re facing foreclosure or falling behind on your property taxes, our coaches are here to help. We work directly with your lender or county tax department to explore your options. Don’t wait—reach out to NMCAA as soon as you notice payment difficulties.

Down payment Assistance Program

Our Down Payment Assistance (DPA) Program provides a 0% deferred loan that you must repay in full whenever the home’s title or ownership transfers. Participants must meet all program requirements to qualify. Additionally, DPA can be combined with our Individual Development Account (IDA) Program. Discover homeownership assistance today.

NMCAA’s Financial Center helps you achieve your financial goals with expert guidance and support. Our HUD Certified Budget/Housing Coaches undergo continuous training to stay current with the latest information. In doing so, they set you up for a life of financial independence. As well as that, by working with our coaches, you’ll identify your financial goals, such as improving your credit, eliminating debt, or developing a monthly budget.
