The Weatherization Assistance Program fundamentally reduces energy costs for low-income households by using Federal in addition to State funding. 4 People $15,000

Firstly, for households larger than four people, add $2,570.00 per person to determine eligibility. Secondly, applicants must live in the home. Additionally, the home cannot be for sale, in foreclosure, or under remodeling during the inspection. Lastly, homes are not eligible if re-weatherized within the last 15 years.
As a result, the Weatherization Assistance Program serves 11 counties: Antrim, Benzie, Charlevoix, Emmet, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Leelanau, Manistee, Missaukee, Roscommon, and Wexford.
