Volunteer

Northwest Michigan Community Action Agency (NMCAA) warmly invites volunteers and interns to join our efforts. To begin with, we have office locations in Traverse City, Petoskey, and Cadillac. Both group and individual volunteers are welcome. There are volunteer short-term and long-term volunteer opportunities. Furthermore, we can provide verification certificates upon request.

We work tirelessly to deliver economic opportunities, housing stability, nutritional security, and educational access to residents of Northwest Michigan. Get Involved with the Community

Community Support

Connect with NMCAA and the community directly by supporting our networked programs, resources, and educational opportunities. Specifically, NMCAA ranks as the 8th largest employer in Traverse City, employing over 340 people. Moreover, we also maintain offices in three of our 10-county service areas: Cadillac/Wexford, Petoskey/Emmet, and Traverse City/Grand Traverse. Furthermore, each year, NMCAA delivers approximately 228,500 services through programs focused on child and family development, senior nutrition, emergency food needs, financial empowerment, homelessness prevention, veteran support, and home energy efficiency.

In addition, our efforts offer various partnership opportunities through both traditional and emerging media platforms. In summary, you can invest through corporate sponsorship, planned giving, or in-kind donations. Since we established the organization in 1974, NMCAA operates as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
